Digital min: Teachers, doctors may get Russian tablets from 2025

MOSCOW, Nov 29 (PRIME) -- Russian teachers and doctors may start receiving national tablets massively from 2025 to ensure local production, Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev said on Wednesday at the TAdviser SummIT conference.

“We hope that under the new (national) program, we will be able to choose the right way and start equipping teachers and doctors at in-patient facilities and the doctors who visit patients at home with Russian tablets massively from 2025,” Shadayev said.

The minister said that the lack of a large order impedes creation of manufacturing now.

“I think 2024 will be a year of a small pilot when we will try different options and see which tablets are user-friendly. Since discussion is still in progress that laptops may be more convenient. We think tablets are,” Shadayev said.
